Silk Caps - Ashford
Silk caps are piles of individual lighter-than-air silk cocoons which have been spread on a form to dry. This gives them their shape: a bell-shaped form.
For spinning, carding, dyeing, and blending with other fibres. Separate a layer of silk cap and create a hole in the center of it and open up the fibre into a round circle making it as thick or as thin as you like for spinning. You can even knit or crochet direct from the cap without spinning!
