The Wensleydale sheep originated in North Yorkshire, England.
The breed's greatest attribute is the quality and quantity of curly wool that each sheep produces.
The wool is one of the finest of the Longwool breeds.
The curls are silky and have a particularly pronounced sheen.
The Wensleydale sheep is a large sheep with long wool fibres, a blue head and is a very friendly animal!
This wool can be used for spinning, felting, or the beautiful curly locks can be incorporated into objects (doll hair, figurines, ...).
